The Department of Greek, Latin & Ancient History expects to appoint one or two full-time Sessional Instructors for the period September 2000 to April 2001. Teaching will include undergraduate courses in the general area of classical languages and etymology, literature and history. The normal teaching assignment is three half-courses in each of the Fall and Winter terms. There will be opportunities for further teaching in Spring/Summer 2001. Remuneration is currently $4,000 per half-course at base level, plus benefits, career development allowance, and travel costs for relocation to and from Calgary.

Applications should include a Curriculum Vitae and indicate teaching interests and experience. Letters from three referees are required. Priority will be given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada. The University of Calgary respects and encourages diversity.
