The Department of Ancient History & Classics of Trent University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to commence on 1 July 2001.  This position is subject to budgetary approval.

The Department is seeking a classicist with a special interest in the field of ancient archaeology and art history, who will also be able to assist with teaching in the traditional areas of the Department (Classical History, Classical Literature, Greek & Latin).  Field experience will be a strong asset.  Applicants must possess the PhD and be able to demonstrate both excellent teaching ability and a sound programme of scholarly research.
