— I —

Though I am not a member of FaceBook, I'd like to point out that some Canadian associations and committees dedicated to the promotion of Classics have their own FaceBook page. I personally know of two, the Graduate Student Caucus of the CAC and the Ontario Classical Association. The OCA can also be reached in 140 characters or less on Twitter and it has a new and improved website. As you probably already know, the CAC has its own FaceBook page, which is maintained by John Porter (U of Saskatchewan). There is a link to it in the header of every issue of your Bulletin.

If you know of any other such Canadian FaceBook pages or Twitter accounts, please let me know! Links to websites of related organizations are provided on the CAC website — follow this link.

This is still the time of the year when members renew their membership, but we're also very happy to welcome ♥♥ new members ♥♥ and to welcome back ♥♥ former members ♥♥ ! Remember, too, that in order to present a paper at the next Annual Meeting in Winnipeg, you must be a member. Follow the link in the header of the Bulletin.

If you're looking for a good reason to fly to Turkey within the next two weeks, you may want to consider attending the First International Congress of Anatolian Monetary History and Numismatics in Antalya. For details, just follow this link.

REMINDER: NEDA AND FRANZ LEIPEN FELLOWSHIP — CANADIAN INSTITUTE IN GREECE
RAPPEL: BOURSE NEDA ET FRANZ LEIPEN — L’INSTITUT CANADIEN EN GRÈCE

From/De: Sheila Campbell
(English follows)

The nature of this work is to be determined in consultation with the Director. Some previous experience in Greece and some knowledge of modern Greek is an asset, although not a requirement.

The Fellow’s research focus may be any aspect of Hellenic studies, from ancient to mediaeval, and in any academic discipline, but preference will be given to a candidate working in the field of Classical to Hellenistic Greek sculpture. In any subsequent publication of the research work done  under the auspices of this fellowship, the recipient will acknowledge both the Canadian Institute in Greece and The Neda and Franz Leipen Fellowship.
