Student papers are now being solicited for the 2013 Undergraduate Essay Competition at both the Junior and Senior levels, with cash prizes of $150, $100 and $50. The deadline is August 31st. I'll be away during the first half of August and can't guarantee I'll be able to send the next regular issue of the Bulletin on August 15th. If necessary, I'll prepare a special issue on July 30th/31st.

The Department of Modern Languages and Classics is seeking instructors to teach CLAS 2201.1 - Mythology of Greece and Rome I, and CLAS 3310.1 - Classical Literature (Epic) which will be offered in the 2013-2014 academic year.

Fall: CLAS 2201.1 - The Mythology of Greece and Rome I: Tuesday/Thursday 2:30–3:45

        CLAS 3310.1/Engl 3310.1 - Classical Literature (Epic): Monday/Wednesday 11:30–12:45

We require that candidates have a master's degree in Classics or a related area and successful university teaching experience.

Applications are invited in the first instance from part-time faculty colleagues who are on the Department's precedence list. The closing date is July 22nd 2013.
