The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2022, ending June 30, 2023.

Applicants must have earned a PhD degree in Classics or a related area by the date of appointment, or shortly thereafter with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research, as can be demonstrated by an emerging record of refereed publications, conference presentations, grants and awards, the submitted research statement, and by strong recommendations by referees of high standing. Evidence of excellence in teaching will be provided through teaching accomplishments, strong letters of reference, and a teaching dossier including a statement of teaching philosophy, sample syllabi, teaching evaluations or other evidence of superior performance in teaching-related activities submitted as part of the application. Other teaching-related activities can include performance as a teaching assistant or course instructor, experience leading successful workshops or seminars, student mentorship, or excellent conference presentations or posters.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
