COVID-19 Micro-Grants

In order to assist in alleviating economic and professional disruptions caused, at least in part, by the economic impacts of COVID-19, the Classical Association of Canada is pleased to begin offering “micro-grants” to those members in the “Member, income less than $40,000” or “Member, student” categories. These grants are intended to help members with expenses that relate to the objectives of the organization, especially those associated with research, and with those expenses that they have incurred unexpectedly as a result of COVID-19 that affect research (e.g., unexpected childcare expenses, increased internet access costs, books purchased because of library closures, etc.).

Instructions

Send the completed form to the CAC Treasurer, Dr. Craig Maynes (craig.maynes@ucalgary.ca). If you have questions about this form, your eligibility, or the eligibility of your expenses, please contact Dr. Jessica Romney (romneyj2@macewan.ca). We are eager to support all eligible members, so please do not hesitate to contact us with questions about possible expenses.

Receipts for eligible expenses must be included with your application in order for the CAC to meet Revenue Canada requirements for a non-profit organization. Receipts may be attached to the form as jpgs or .pdfs.
