CFP: Atlantic Classical Association Conference, Oct. 2022

Call for Papers for the 2022 Meeting of the Atlantic Classical Association

October 28-29, 2022 at Acadia University, Wolfville NS

The Department of History & Classics at Acadia University (Wolfville, NS) is pleased to host this year’s Annual Meeting of the Atlantic Classical Association, to be held on Friday October 28 and Saturday October 29, 2022.

Papers of 20 minutes duration are invited on any aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world, broadly construed (language, literature, history, archaeology, art history, reception, philosophy, etc.). Please send an abstract of no more than 200 words and include your name and affiliation. Abstracts must be submitted by e-mail attachment to Chelsea Gardner (chelsea.gardner@acadiau.ca). We will accept submissions until August 31, 2022.

After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atlantic Classical Association is very much looking forward to connecting again, in order to support and grow our networks of scholars working in and around the ancient Mediterranean. First-time attendees, graduate students, independent scholars, and contingent faculty are especially encouraged to submit an abstract. Works-in-progress presentations of ongoing research are welcome. We are looking forward to seeing you all in Wolfville!

If you do not wish to give a paper but still plan on attending the conferences, please let us know by September 15th, 2022.

Information concerning accommodations, registration, etc. will be circulated in late September.
