Sessional Positions at Brock University (Fall 2023)

Position: Sessional Instructor for CLAS 1P95 Myths of the Greek and Roman Gods.

Course Description: Traditional story types: nature myths, ritual myths. Diffusion of myths in the ancient world. The creation, the succession in heaven and the individual gods. Functions of myth in ancient society. Modern theories of myth.

Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week.

Other information: This is a large Core & Context credit course (420 students) scheduled to be taught Online Asynchronous, starting September 6, 2023. The Instructor will be responsible for one (1) seminar section of 20 students; TAs will lead the remaining seminar sections. A Course Co-ordinator will assist with administration. Brock University uses Brightspace as its LMS.
